Volunteer Opportunities

  • Crisis Text Line – Volunteer to support people in crisis. No experience needed but a training and commitment is required.

  • Episcopal Community Services – Serving meals, tutoring GED students, hosting game nights, and more to help individuals who are either homeless or low-income.

  • Gay For Good – Social welfare and environmental service projects for LGBTQ individuals.

  • Hands On Bay Area – Connects companies and individuals with volunteer projects with nonprofits and schools in need.

  • LGBT National Youth Talkline – Volunteers provide telephone peer-support, local resources, and factual information to LGBT Youth.

  • Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly – Provides phone, in person, and group interactions with older adults who may go much of their day, week, or year without meaningful social interactions.

  • Meals on Wheels – Provides a network of services (including meals and socializing) that allow seniors to live in their homes with dignity and independence as long as possible.

  • Reading Partners – Tutoring program that connects volunteers with students both virtually and in person.

  • The Volunteer Center – Connects individuals, nonprofits, and businesses with opportunities and resources needed.
